I started Oral Fixation Mints when I was barely 22. My friend Jeremy was smoking a cigarette and said he couldn't quit because he had an Oral Fixation. Starting a mint company to help people quit smoking seemed like the reasonable thing to do. Naturally, we knew nothing about food, let alone business; but being a naive philosophy major fresh out of college, I thought anything was possible - and so it was. Jeremy, Jon, and I spent a year in the chocolate factory designing a product line whose central mission was to make everyday products beautiful. We had fun every day, ignored market trends, and made a product that we would actually purchase ourselves, even if we had never seen it advertised. We stayed up late thinking of phrases, flavors, and art no one had ever seen before; it was awesome. Five years on, this youthful dream is an incredible reality. Millions of people from the Middle East to Japan to Australia to Sweden have bought Oral Fixation Mints in thousands of locations. The challenges are different, but the spirit has stayed the same throughout. We strive to offer an experience to our customers both unique and engaging at an everyday price. |

| Since my business partner, Eric, is also my band-mate of thirteen years, it's an interesting work environment. In the past year, we've combined trade-shows with gigs and balanced late-night working hours with studio recording. Oral Fixation has become the home base for a lot of different creative projects we work on, but I wouldn't have it any other way.
