What’s
up
with
your
tins?
The
tins
are
made
of
brushed
metal,
and
designed
with
a
timeless
minimalist
aesthetic
reminiscent
of
1920s
cigarette
cases.
Once
the
mints
are
consumed,
the
tins
can
hold
credit
cards
and
small
amounts
of
cash,
giving
them
a
long
and
useful
lifetime.

What
is
Sorbitol?
A
French
chemist
first
discovered
sorbitol
in
the
berries
of
the
mountain
ash
in
1872.
It
still
occurs
naturally
in
a
wide
variety
of
fruits
and
berries.
Sorbitol
has
a
smooth
mouthfeel
with
a
sweet,
cool
and
pleasant
taste,
perfect
for
our
mints.
Sorbitol
is
also
resistant
to
metabolism
by
oral
bacteria
which
break
down
sugars
and
starches
to
release
acids
that
may
lead
to
cavities
or
erode
tooth
enamel.
They
are,
therefore,
non-cariogenic
and
approved
by
the
American
Dental
Association.

I
have
Diabetes.
Can
I
eat
these?
Yes.
Sorbitol
is
slowly
absorbed
and
therefore
safe
for
diabetics.
When
sorbitol
is
used,
the
rise
in
blood
glucose
and
the
insulin
response
associated
with
the
ingestion
of
glucose
is
significantly
reduced.
Sorbitol
assists
the
three
main
goals
of
diabetes
management:
Control
of
blood
glucose,
lipids,
and
weight.
